Ray Allen, who has made 95.4 percent of his free throws, is on the way to breaking the mark set by Bill Sharman (93.2 percent in the 1958-59 season).
Another team shooting record – 3-point accuracy – is being threatened by Eddie House, and Rajon Rondo is bidding to become the Celtics’ first starting point guard ever to shoot better than 50 percent from the field.
Allen, House and Rondo have been on target throughout the season, helping the Celtics average 100.8 points through 75 games.
Not bad for a team known for its defense. Is Rondo the best dunking point guard in the league?
Leon Powe talked with NECN's Chris Collins (video link) about his knee injury:
Powe, has missed two weeks with a sprained right knee and says he won't return for a couple more weeks. He says he is just taking it day by day, and trying to "get the soreness out."
Although he won't see much game time before the playoffs, he isn't worried about getting rusty. "Once you get out there, everything else is out the door."
I'm glad to hear from Leon. He's been MIA since injuring the knee and once the prognosis went from a few days to several weeks – we all got worried.

Today, the Celtics are still a banged up M*A*S*H unit that's looking for contributions from unusual places to get them through. But fear not, the full-strength Celtics are on their way. And it doesn't matter if the Celtics drop to the third seed. They're not dependent on home court advantage to advance. The people who say they need home court are using examples from almost a full year ago. It doesn't apply now.
