Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched seven innings strong and Mike Lowell blooped home the only run on a single to left to beat 13 game winner C.C. Sabathia and the Cleveland Indians 1-0.
Matsuzaka only allowed four hits, walked three, and struck out six on 98 pitches (60 for strikes) and left it up to the bullpen for a chance at his 12th win of the season.
Hideki Okajima and Jonathan Papelbon did not disappoint as both threw hitless innings in the eighth and ninth respectively.
