Just before the start of the 2011 baseball season, FOX Sports broadcaster Joe Buck lost his voice. Literally.
Initially, he had told everyone he had a virus, but, nope…it was all a lie. As Buck told Conan O’Brien Tuesday night, it was from a hair transplant procedure gone wrong.
True story.
Apparently dude is/was addicted to getting hair plugs and during his eighth(!) procedure, his vocal cord became paralyzed and he was unable to speak. Seeking help…the veteran broadcaster called upon Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey for some sage advice.
