McClung, pen 4-hit O’s; win 3-2

Seth McClung had another great outing Saturday evening, pacing the Crew to a 3-2 win over the Orioles.
Craig Counsell and J.J. Hardy started the night off right for the Brewers, each singling off of O’s starter Daniel Cabrera to start the Brewers’ first. Ryan Braun popped out, and Prince Fielder grounded out–both to Brian Roberts at second. But Fielder’s out was enough to plate Counsell for a 1-0 lead.
In the 3rd, after Hardy and Braun fanned, Fielder singled to right. Corey Hart then hit a 2-run shot to give the Crew a 3-0 lead.
McClung took a 2-hitter into the 7th and got catcher Ramon Hernandez to fly out, before walking Adam Jones. After getting Alex Cintron to ground out, pinch hitter Oscar Salazar homered off of McClung for two runs, the only two the O’s would get on the night, as Brian Shouse went 1 1/3rd for the hold, while Salomon Torres pitched a scoreless 9th for his 11th save on the year.
The Crew sends Manny Parra to the hill tomorrow afternoon to go for the series win.
