Raiders backup quarterback, Kyle Boller, and former controversial anti-gay marriage beauty queen, Carrie Prejean, will be getting married this Friday, July 2nd. This according to TMZ.com.

Boller was signed this offseason by the Raiders to compete to make the squad as a backup behind Jason Campbell and Bruce Gradkowski. He and Ms. Prejean have a lot in common.

He is most famous for being a big armed California quarterback who signed for big money as a high draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens. And he never lived up to his expectations. He was eventually replaced in Baltimore by Joe Flacco.

Carrie Prejean was a former beauty queen who didn’t live up to her expectations when she was named Miss California. During the Miss USA pagent, she made a very controversial statement when asked about her stance on gay marriage.

“I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman,” she said on the live broadcast. “No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised.”

She believes that this statement cost her a shot at the crown. Far be it from me to speculate whether that is truly the case. However, her sex tape probably doesn’t help matters. And the statement enraged quite a lot of people– many of whom are closely involved with the Miss USA pageant.

“It did cost me my crown,” Prejean tells Fox News. “It is a very touchy subject and… I see the audience would’ve wanted me to be more politically correct. But I was raised in a way that you can never compromise your beliefs and your opinions for anything.”

“I feel like I won,” she said. “I feel like I’m the winner. I really do.”

I wonder if Kyle Boller will be saying the same thing while he is either holding the clipboard on the sidelines or the TV remote at home this season?
