When I was growing up, I always wondered why Cincinnati and Kentucky never played. I heard the stories of the held ball game that drove UK crazy, but I still didn’t get why 2 relatively local national powers couldn’t meet up for a game. That little problem got settled on March 19, 2005. In the last NCAA tournament game at UC Bob Huggins would ever coach, UC and UK met up at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. It was one of the most electric atmopsheres I can remember a tournament game having. It was ultimately a UC loss, but it’s a game I won’t forget.
