This weekend also marks the renewal of the Badgers second oldest rivalry. Wisconsin's 108 wins over the Tigers are the most over any indivdual opponent. The Badgers have lost four consecutive games to Colorado College dating back to the 2011 WCHA Playoffs.

After a shaky opening series, UW goaltender Joel Rumpel enjoyed a solid weekend in net in Duluth. Rumpel recorded 29 saves on his way to recording a shutout on Friday night and allowed just two goals on 37 shots Saturday.

Wisconsin is 5-4-1 in home openers under Coach Eaves.

UW holds a 56-29-5 series edge over CC in games played in Madison.
