Merry Christmas 2013 from Adrian Peterson and Purple Jesus Diaries

Once again, I share with my favorite five readers my most enjoyable photoshop I've ever done, all so I can wish you merry souls a Merry Christmas. NO CHANUKAH LOVE THOUGH. Just kidding, I don't care.

Anyway, once again, we want to wish anyone who accidentally comes across and reads this blog today that we wish you a Merry Christmas. This year, the sentiment is more needed than ever, especially after the awful, awful year of football we've had to endure as Vikings fans. From an unprecedented number of last second wins gifted to the other team, to having to suffer through Christian Ponder's final opportunity to redeem himself, we've learned valuable lessons:

1. The Vikings were like the NFL Christmas Claus this season, giving the gifts of win and career days to anyone who wanted them, and

2. We gifted Christian Ponder a way out of Minnesota, and the opportunity to retire from the NFL and become a stay at home dad while his wife Samantha works. I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

But it's not all lost, folk. We have a draft coming up soon, probably a new coach, and a renewed sense of optimism. Just like the Christmas story of magical Jesus returning from the dead, so too should the Minnesota Vikings return to the land of the living next season. So says the Purple Jesus.

Enjoy the day/week/season, everyone. Try not to think about Vikings for one day, and instead drink lots of beer. YOU DESERVE IT!
