Philadelphia 76ers rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams will not play tonight for the fourth straight game due to an infected knee. This was reported by the Philadelphia 76ers and head coach Brett Brown after the team’s shoot-around.

With Carter-Williams out again, it means that Tony Wroten will again get the start. Tonight, Wroten will have a tough matchup as he will be going up again Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio.

This season, Wroten is averaging 12.9 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. In his last five games, he is averaging 11.4 points per game and nearly shooting 40 percent from the field.

When Tony Wroten is in the starting lineup he brings instant offense and energy but that does take away from the bench as he was the perfect sixth man for this team. Hopefully Carter-Williams will be ready to play on Friday night as the Sixers take on the Toronto Raptors.
