So…didja hear the one about the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series?
Much to the chagrin of Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, the stands at Progressive Field were (much like Wrigley Field) littered with familiar faces. On hand to watch their Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians…Bill Murray, Eddie Vedder, John Cusack and Bonnie Hunt.
Not there…Michael J. Fox. That said, the TV and movie star did congratulate Chicago, even if the team didn’t fulfill the well-publicized “Back to the Future” prophecy from a year ago.
Only off by a year, not bad. Congrats @Cubs. This is so heavy. #FlyTheW
