UPDATE- While his coach is reporting that this is a done deal, Michael has not confirmed it as of yet. FWIW
UPDATE 2- Michael has confirmed that he’s headed to Columbus via his twitter today. Welcome home!
UPDATE 3- Well, maybe not. Twitter account might have been hacked. *Sigh.
UPDATE 4- It’s official.
Originally from California and a part of the 2011 recruiting class, wide receiver Michael Thomas has decided to join his teammate Cardale Jones at Fork Union Military Academy by enrolling at Ohio State in January ($).
Thomas has excellent size at 6’4″ and as Keyshawn Johnson’s nephew, playing wide receiver runs in his family. He was a highly rated recruit in the 2011 class, and this is clearly an exciting development for Ohio State.
Ohio State had been looking at Thomas for some time, and after rooming with future Buckeye QB Cardale Jones at Fork Union Prep School, the lure of the Buckeyes was too much to overcome. May the chemistry that Jones and Thomas developed this season translate onto the field in Columbus.
It’s nice to have some exciting news on the recruiting front after several months of relative quiet.
Welcome to Buckeye Nation, Michael!
Highlights after the jump.
