1,181 days just became 110 the other way after Michigan’s 61-57 win over Michigan State tonight in East Lansing, which also marked the Wolverines’ first win at Breslin since 1997. Zack Novak was white-hot for Michigan, hitting 6 of 8 three-pointers, and Stu Douglass hit the biggest shot of his career. The only thing missing was the patented Big Balls Dance afterward, though Twitter trash talk isn’t a bad consolation.
For the Sparties, Kalin Lucas scored 27 points but didn’t get much help otherwise. Durrell Summers and Draymond Green chipped in a combined 22 points, but the rest of the team was as guilty as Korie Lucious for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
And yes, this is Michigan’s first win against MSU in either football or basketball since Mike Hart’s infamous “Little Brother” comment.
