Remember that story I linked a few days ago about Cassandra Smith, the Hooters girl that was put on probation for being a bit too thick? She’s now taking Hooters to court, claiming that the company violated a state law that prohibits discrimination.
I don’t want to get into the morality of this issue because there’s really no way to win. Obviously, women will side with the girls that put themselves through whatever it is that they have to do to stay lean, whether those measures are healthy or not. On the other hand, there’s a reason guys keep going back to Hooters, and it isn’t the food.
Still, I have to side with Cassie on this one. At 5’8″, 130 lbs. is definitely getting towards the low end of a healthy weight range for her height. I’m not a fan of the skin-and-bones models on that show my girlfriend loves, but I’m no chubby chaser either (obviously, seeing as I’m not from Ohio). Hopefully she’s able to win her case and get on with her life.
