The Red Sox have traded third baseman Will Middlebrooks to the San Diego Padres for catcher Ryan Hanigan. Middlebrooks became a trade chip once the Red Sox signed Pablo Sandovol to play third base.
It is great to see a graduate of Rollins College join the Red Sox, since I am also an alumni of the school.
