With two outs in the top of the ninth, after falling behind 0-2 and fouling two balls off his left leg, Miguel Cabrera powered a 2-2 pitch from the game's greatest closer of all time, Mariano Rivera, over the center field wall to tie a 3-1 game and at least momentarily keep a 12-game winning streak alive.
Epic at bat in high drama circumstances:

The Tigers lost the game in the 10th inning, but this will be the story of the game. The Sandman vs. the reigning Triple Crown winner. The game's best vs the game's best. The best.
The blown save was Rivera's first against Detroit since 1999 — 14 years! It was only the second time in his career he has allowed more than a single run against the Tigers. As good as Rivera has been throughout his career, he has always been even better against the Tigers. This was a really fun moment, win or lose the game.
And hey, 12 out of 13 ain't so bad.
