Tomorrow night will be “Mike & Tommy Night” at the TD Garden. The Celtics will be celebrating Mike Gorman and Tommy Heinsohn’s 30 years of broadcasting C’s games together. I was thrilled to read today that during a pregame ceremony tomorrow, C’s owner Wyc Grousbeck and team Captain Paul Pierce will be presenting the duo with special jerseys. Each commemorative jersey will have the number “30” on the back.
I’ve actually had tickets to tomorrow night’s game for a while, so when I found out about this I was ecstatic! After last night’s tough road-loss to the Nets, what better to get the crowd and the team fired-up than this. Mike and Tommy are Celtics basketball. They’ve seen, and called it all. From Bird to McHale to Walker to Pierce, these guys have been there. I can only imagine the stories they can & will tell. I cannot wait!
