Miller Gets Assist But USA Misses Medal Round

J.T. Miller had a primary assist but it wasn’t enough as Team USA lost to the Czech Republic 5-2 in a preliminary round round game at the World Junior Championships in Calgary last night.

The USA loss combined with Finland’s win over Denmark eliminated USA from making the medal round for the first time since 1991.

Team USA faces Canada tomorrow.

Here’s Miller’s thoughts on the loss…

Miller has 1g, 1a in the first three games of the preliminary round.

…while it’s nice to see Miller putting up some points, real disappointed in the Americans showing.

…would have been great for Miller to get some medal round experience.

In positive Ranger prospect news, Michael St. Croix (2011 – 4th) had 2g, 1a last night and finished an amazing month of December with 8g, 16a in just 11 games.
