Miller Scores Fourth Goal in Three Games; Thomas Suspended

Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that J.T. Miller (2011 – 1st) scored his fourth goal in his last three games and added an assist but it wasn’t enough as his Plymouth Whalers lost to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-3.

Miller, who was on the ice for three Greyhounds goals, leads Ranger prospects in goals and points with 8g, 9a – 17 points.

Meanwhile, Rubenstein also reports that Christian Thomas (2010 – 2nd) was suspended 10 games for a high sticking major he took last Sunday.

…love how the OHL suspends a guy 10 guys for a high stick, meanwhile Zuccarello is almost put into a coma by Mair this past week and the AHL decides he only deserves four games. There really needs to be more consistancy.

…oh yeah, Miller = stud.

In other prospect news (via Rubenstein), Shane McColgan (2011 – 5th) and Michael St. Croix (2011 – 4th) both had long scoring streaks snapped last night, while Chris Kreider (2009 – 1st) could only muster one shot on goal in BC’s 4-2 win over the UMass/Lowell River Hawks.
