The FCC approved the merger of XM and Sirius satellite radio today paving the way for Sirius subscribers to get MLB audio. Both companies will allow some a la carte programing in three months but it is unclear if Sirius listeners will be able to get baseball programing in time for the playoffs. MLB signed an exclusive contract with XM and baseball, including ESPN Radio programing available on Sirius, had been blacked out. Under the new deal anyone with a satellite radio should be able to get MLB audio for next season.
