MLB Network’s Games For This Week

MLB Network continues to pick up games this week and you’ll see plenty of Yankees and Red Sox. Plus, you’ll see a rare Saturday afternoon game as Fox goes primetime this week. More on that either Thursday or Friday. But here’s your live game schedule which begins on Tuesday.

Thursday Night Baseball Headlines MLB Network’s Game Schedule for May 18-22
Schedule includes Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees on May 18, Interleague Play and Minor League Baseball
Secaucus, N.J., May 17, 2010 – The top two teams in Major League Baseball face off on MLB Network as the Tampa Bay Rays face the New York Yankees on Thursday Night Baseball on May 20 at 7:00 p.m. ET, part of MLB Network’s live game schedule for May 18-22.  MLB Network’s Bob Costas and John Smoltz will call the game live from Yankee Stadium.
The AL Central first-place Minnesota Twins visit the Toronto Blue Jays during MLB Matinee on Tuesday, May 18 at 12:30 p.m. ET – which will be available on MLB Network nationwide, including in the Twins’ home television market – followed by the Boston Red Sox against AL East rival New York Yankees in the Bronx at 7:00 p.m. ET, featuring an Opening Day rematch with Josh Beckett against CC Sabathia. On Thursday, May 20, MLB Matinee features the Atlanta Braves hosting the Cincinnati Reds at 1:00 p.m. ET and available on MLB Network in the Reds’ home television market. 
Interleague play rounds out the week with the Boston Red Sox at NL East first-place Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET, while the Milwaukee Brewers will face the Minnesota Twins on Saturday Night Baseball on May 22 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
MLB Network’s slate of Minor League Baseball games also continues this week with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (Triple-A – New York Yankees) at Indianapolis Indians (Triple-A – Pittsburgh Pirates, on Wednesday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. ET featuring Indianapolis star third baseman Pedro Alvarez and New York Yankees’ top catching prospect Jesus Montero.  
MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning signature nightly studio show, will air live at 6:00 p.m. ET on May 17 and 19 as well as before and after the Red Sox at Yankees matchup on May 18, Thursday Night Baseball on May 20 and the Red Sox at Phillies game on May 21.
Game telecasts other than Thursday Night Baseball will be carriage of local telecasts, including local announcers, and games will be blacked out in each team’s home television territory. Viewers in areas subject to blackouts in most markets will be provided with an alternate game telecast or other programming.
