With the return of the Bucs to Monday Night Football after a brief absense (well its brief compared to the 15 years between 83 and 98 we waited for), some media outlets are reporting the Bucs history incorrectly.
Fortunately, if you read Bucstop.com, your reading it from someone who actually lived throught it all, not from a book.
The Bucs First Monday Night Football game was not even on a Monday. It was a Monday Night Football, Thursday special. None the less, it WAS Monday Night Football, and if the media outlets are going to consider the Bucs Saturday MNF game in 2001 as part of historical canon, then you cant disregard this.

Mistakenly, the 2nd MNF game, the first to actually be played On Monday Night, is whats considered the first game; A 1980 at Chicago game the Bucs lost. But I was there when it happened, and I know the first MNF excitement was over that Rams Game. It was a rematch of the NFC Championship game, when the Bucs lost 9-0. In the MNF game, the Bucs won it 10-9 with a last min TD By Doug Williams.
