I like alliteration. And one of my goals this year is to write more consistently. Put these together and you get Monday Misconduct, my new weekly column.
My plan is to write about what happened over the past week and maybe take a look at what is coming. This is your very first edition!

The week wasn’t the best week. We got one win against a mediocre team out of four games. We didn’t even get half the points, which is what you at least hope for on a road trip. 3 out of 8 won’t do.
Monday we lost 4-2 against Toronto. My memory recalls a few too many dumb penalties. It becomes difficult to score when you spend the entire period viewing the game from the box. Our forwards continue to have troubles with putting the puck in the net. Vrbata couldn’t score if the net was soccer sized.
Wednesday was a loss to Calgary. *sigh* Yes, Calgary. The only highlight was the shortie from Vermette.
Friday was our only win over Edmonton. Vrbata finally got that elusive goal. I think it was because Marty came back. Pretty sure these two can never play without each other. They are like the Sedins but not as good and not twins. The Coyotes need to stop playing to protect the lead. Every time they are up and play to protect, they et the other team come back. Stop doing that. Keep playing hard and step on the gas. Where is that competitive edge? Why let up and allow the other time the chance to win?
At least we got one point out of Vancouver. And Biz got almost two minutes! Did Tippett feel compelled to play him because Marty likes to cross check? I don’t blame Vancouver for being upset about Marty; he is a cross checking, elbow throwing machine. Oh, and Vancouver’s slump is busted.
Coming up we play a falling LA team on Tuesday, which means we should have a chance but we will probably do something dumb and lose. We follow that up with Buffalo on Thursday and the Penguins on Saturday. It would be nice to get these three wins and the 6 points.
