Here at Total Sports Live, we are debuting a new weekly post called the “Monday Morning MVP”. This post will be about an athlete in the world of sports that had the best week. Our MMMVPs are picked by our writers.


Our first MMMVPs for the week of January 9th-January 15th is New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and Los Angeles Lakers SG Kobe Bryant. These two players will be co-MMMVPs for the past week.


First, let’s look at Tom Brady. In the AFC Divisional playoffs vs. the Denver Broncos, Tom Brady had a career game. Brady was 26 for 34, threw for 363 yards, and threw 6 TDs and only 1 int. Brady threw 5 TD passes in the first half and ended the game with a 137.6 QB rating; leading the Patriots to a 45-10 win and a matchup in the AFC Championship vs. the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, Kobe Bryant, on the other hand; had a tremendous week. In the last four games, Bryant has scored 40 points or more. On January 10th, Bryant scored 48 points vs. the Suns. On January 11th, he scored 40 points vs. the Jazz. On January 13th, Kobe scored 42 points vs. the Cavs. Finally, on January 14th, Kobe scored 42 points vs. the Clippers. In those 4 games, the Lakers have a record of 3-1.
