At about ten different point yesterday, I thought the Pirates were headed towards the point of no return. We were sitting in left field at Fenway, watching the guy change the scoreboard between innings. Before even checking my phone, I knew that Karstens had run out of gas in the fifth and that’s how the game was tied. For once, though, the Pirates kept stringing hits together and scoring and managed to outlast someone. Even not being able to watch, it was pretty exciting to follow from a distance.
Today is race day, so I won’t be around the computer much before I leave for the airport tonight. I’ll definitely get a post up for the series finale in Cincy toinght, but probably not much more. I still want to do Electric Company writeups for Morton and McDonald’s last two starts, but I may wait until the day of their next starts to put them together given time considerations.
