The Rams are bad. We know this. But after 14 games and 13 losses to teams that aren’t the Detroit Lions, I think it’s fair to start looking at Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo and examining his year 1 performance. Yesterday his time out to call a punt on fourth down seemed out of place at the time. And sure enough, it ended up costing the Rams a chance to get the ball back at the end of the game. We’ve seen many rookie mistakes on his part, but we’ve yet to really see a glimpse of brilliance. Every coach has those few moments in a season that makes you, the fan, say damn- good call. You got me there. I wouldn’t have done that, but you did. And it worked. I can’t recall a ‘wow’ moment from Coach Spags in 2009 that’s made me really think “OK, this guys a little green now, but he’s got something about him we can build on.” When are those moments coming? Will they ever come? What are our measuring sticks? It’s a mess with the Rams. Who can we trust when they all tell us things are getting better when they obviously aren’t?…
The Cardinals aren’t shy about selling tickets this Christmas season, eh? About 25 e-mails in the past 2 weeks have offered everything but a BJ from Billy DeWitt to buy a premium ticket for the Cards in 2010. We get it guys, get that revenue on the books this year and let it mature. We will buy tickets, I swear. But do we have to do it RIGHT NOW…
