The Lake Erie Monsters, your 2016 Calder Cup champions are now the Cleveland Monsters. Today at a news conference right outside Quicken Loans Arena, the Monsters made that announcement in addition to debuting new jerseys.
The rebrand comes on the heels of two championships in Northeast Ohio. The Cleveland Monsters jerseys take a lot from the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers jerseys. If you are a fan of either team, you’ll surely love the design.

Wine, gold and black are the primary colors on these jerseys and will likely be a staple for the team in the years ahead. In the short press conference, assistant GM of the Blue Jackets, Bill Zito spoke about the teams success and how it will translate onto the ice in Columbus. Meanwhile, Monsters COO, Mike Ostrowski emphasized the importance of unity between the teams.
The changes aren’t huge but they allow for the city to be joined together with these changes. Now they are truly “all in”.
