Josh Freeman has been released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In the end, he may take his coach with him, at least proverbally. But as Greg Schiano's fate is yet undetermined, Josh Freeman has all but cemented the case against him with the outbreak of new evidence that shows he was fined multiple times since the season has begun.
Missing the team photo wasnt even the big one for Freeman. He missed the photo shoot and that got him a warning. But then he missed the team breakfast day of the Jets game, then missed the team Bus. Now you add that to the joke that happened on the field with the helmets, and it looks like the Bucs have been more than patient enough with Josh Freeman.
Now the question is going to be who is leaking all this info to the media. Is it the Bucs? Is it Freeman's camp leaking it themselves to frame the Bucs? It's one of the two, because Roy Cummings reported it, and the information was too accurate to come from outside one of the parties involved.
So even in a bye week…the Free-ano Gate mess continues. At least now the healing can begin for everyone.
Judging from comments to the media (here-to-for known as "yall") at least two Bucs players, Donald Penn and Davin Joseph are big supporters of the beleagured quarterback. It's probably no wonder Penn has been playing a little bit of Ole' football, otherwise known as "Lookout" blocks. Penn is a pro bowl caliber player, and he will get back to that level once he is given a chance to move on past all of this drama.
