Let’s give you some more Monday links before I start working on Amazing Race episode recaps.

First, Neil Best of Newsday writes in his blog that the Giants-Cowboys game was a ratings winner for Fox. Neil feels that CBS’ Dan Dierdorf should have questioned the Tony Dungy decision not to go for a figgy instead of going for a TD with three minutes left in the Chargers-Colts game.

The Sports Media Watch notes the ratings for Giants-Cowboys and points out that all of the Divisional Playoff games this past weekend were up in the ratings as compared to last year. And Pete Dougherty of the Albany Times Union also writes about the increased ratings for the NFL playoffs games.

CBS Sports gives us some quotes from the last two days on the NFL Today, plus provides some ratings news.

Justin Terranova of the New York Post writes in his TV Sports blog that CBS’ Phil Simms answered questions on whether he’s a Giants homer.

John Consoli of Mediaweek reports that WWOR-TV will air 21 Yankees games, 17 of them on Friday nights including three games involving the Red Sox.

Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated reports that C-SPAN2 and ESPN will both air gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Congressional Steroids hearings tomorrow. And Richard will live blog the event at SI.com.

Earlier today, I linked to a story that reviewed the roast of Mike & Mike of ESPN Radio in Atlantic City. Deadspin noticed a paragraph about the performance of ESPN’s First Take anchor Dana Jacobsen who apparently got more than a little tipsy at the event.

Tom Kreager and G. Chambers Williams of the Tennessean write a story for USA Today about revenue streams drying up for NASCAR due to falling TV ratings.
