WWE is little under 24 hours away from this year’s Royal Rumble PPV, and names are beginning to arrive in Phoenix for the event which will take place at Chase Field.

Earlier this week we reported that names such as Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Tye Dillinger have all been medically cleared to return to the ring and could be used as potential surprise entrants in the men’s Rumble match. Additionally, Big Show is in Phoenix doing promotional work for the PPV, so he could always end up being an entrant in the Rumble match.

According to PWInsider, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle made an appearance at the Royal Rumble AXXESS events today, so he is indeed in Phoenix and could be a surprise entrant in the Rumble match should WWE decide to use him.

In addition to Angle, Christian and Maryse are also currently in Phoenix and could be surprise Rumble match entrants. Maryse was unable to compete in last year’s inaugural women’s Royal Rumble match due to her pregnancy.

There have been rumors that Hornswoggle might be making another surprise appearance in the Rumble match this year, but so far there has been no confirmation that he is in Phoenix.

As of this writing, John Cena remains “questionable” for the Rumble match on Sunday, but at last word he is not expected to be in Phoenix this weekend for the PPV. Should Cena not compete in the Rumble match, 11 spots remain in the bout as WWE has already confirmed 19 competitors.

In related news, for anyone looking to attend the PPV on Sunday, Chase Field announced earlier today that more floor seats have been released. Additionally, doors for the PPV will open at 2pm local time for the event which begins its kickoff show at 5pm EST. The kickoff show will feature Rusev vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the U.S. Title and the Cruiserweight Title Fatal Four Way match.
