I had to take a car in for an engine check yesterday and got thrown off my game like an Anthony Morelli pass. So let’s get back to it today.
No time to mess around, so let’s get right down to business. First, if you missed it, I joined the Men of the Scarlet and Gray podcast to talk about Penn State’s recent recruiting class, how Penn State dominated the state, Twitter beefs and best cheesesteaks in Philly and more. Check it out, and also get a dose of Michigan commentary if interested.
In news you may have missed, Bill Parcells says he was contacted by Penn State to gauge his interest in taking over the program following the dismissal of Joe Paterno. Also, Penn State saw attendance rise in James Franklin’s first season on the job.
Penn State Recruiting Updates
The latest rankings for the Class of 2016 talent pool have recently been updated. Rivals has their top 250 players ranked. Penn State commits DE Shane Simmons (No. 37), RB Miles Sanders (No. 53) and QB Jake Zembiec (No. 212) are all listed with four-star ratings. Sanders is considerably lower (No. 133) on 247 Sports’ Top 247 list, although CB Lavert Hill checks in at No. 155. Zembiec makes an appearance at No. 228.
EPSN’s 2016 player rankings is also updated. Simmons (No. 21), Sanders (No. 134), Zembiec (No. 265) and Hill (No. 267) are all included in the ESPN 300 for 2016.
On the trail, Penn State has extended an offer to a three-star linebacker out of Georgia, Emanuel Bridges. Bridges recently de-commited from Tennessee.
Two-Minute Drill
Michigan got a nice endorsement from none other than Jameis Winston… Some storylines to pay attention to around the country this spring… Madtown Badgers previews the running back position in the post-Melvin Gordon season… So much for Rutgers hiring a booster… NCAA cracked down on phone calls and text messages at West Virginia… Not a good look for Auburn… DirecTV customers will be getting FOX Sports Go… What if I told you ESPN was going to made into a movie?
