There weren’t many games over the weekend, so there weren’t many changes to the poll. Auburn is still my number one.
In alphabetical order here is this week’s ballot:
Arkansas
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
Auburn
This is still the best team in the nation.
LSU
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
Michigan State
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
Oklahoma
The Sooners send the Huskers to the Big 10 without a parting gift.
Oregon
I thought they’d beat Oregon State worse, but they are still a really good football team.
Stanford
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
TCU
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
Texas A&M
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
Wisconsin
They didn’t play this week; they’re still in.
Didn’t make the cut:
Alabama
You can’t win your way back in when you don’t play.
Boise State
You can’t win your way back in when you don’t play.
Ohio State
You can’t win your way back in when you don’t play.
Oklahoma State
You can’t win your way back in when you don’t play.
Nebraska
Late season losses are killers. Huskers lost when the needed a win.
South Carolina
They really aren’t in the conversation anymore
Virginia Tech
They can and might win their bowl game, but I’ll say it again: there isn’t enough parity between FBS and FCS for a Top 10 team to ever lose to a 1-AA team.
