Elvis, Willie, Haggard, Cash, Cline. The legends of country music. They’d probably be ashamed by this, though. This game is in it’s 13th year currently pairing the SEC vs the ACC. Last year was a battle between Clemson and Kentucky in which Clemson won. Now sponsored by Franklin America Mortgage, this thing used to be sponsored by the Gaylord Hotels- wonder if Focker is still working there?
North Carolina Tarheels
TJ Yates has been a surprise player this year for UNC. They were expecting a dominating defense with talent like DT Marvin Austin, LB Bruce Carter, CB Denuta Williams but they have struggled and ended up with the 46th ranked defense in points allowed at 23 pts/game.
With the early season suspensions, UNC really underperformed what was expected from them. I expect Butch to have them ready for a last ditch effort to end the season… and you’ve got to wonder how much more leeway Tarheel faithful will give Davis to turn things around- although, it is a basketball school.
Tennessee Volunteers
Anyone volunteerin to play for these guys? Dooley in his first year had another down year for Tennessee’s standards. Frosh Tyler Bray has taken the reigns at the QB position and hasn’t looked back. Tennessee finished the season on a strong note, and a bowl game victory could go along way in building confidence going into next year. RB Poole could also look to have a big game.

Jim is standing out on an island all by himself, and will either look brilliant or… This is basically a home game for Tennessee, but is anyone going to want to travel to watch them? Look for this to be a somewhat ugly game and not just because of the uniform colors. There will be two decent defenses and under-performing offenses… so it probably won’t be a shoot out.
