MWAHdcast: Episode 2 – Draft Edition

president

Book ’em, Danno. Episode Two of the MWAHdcast is in the books and here for your listening pleasures. This week, MJ and I welcome Mike Rosenbaum to the show to discuss and answer questions about next week’s first year player draft. Mike s the lead prospect writer for Bleacher Report’s Prospect Pipeline, and has covered amateur and minor league players almost exclusively over the last few years. You can follow him on the Twitter machine at @GoldenSombrero.

MJ and I cover our regular shenanigans this week as we discuss the current state of the Angels asking whether or not their recent four-game sweep of the Tigers was a mirage, or if their stumbling against the Rays and now Yankees is more indicative of what we should expect from the team. We dive deeper into the Mike Trout Propaganda Machine with the help of ESPN’s Franchise Player Draft yesterday. Bet you can’t guess who was taken first?

We close out the show with our take on the good, the bad and the ugly of former Angels players. This week, with the draft and prospects in mind, our focus was on former hot shot third base prospects as well as a current third base prospect who used to be a hotshot. Of course this means that I am talking about Brandon Wood, Dallas McPherson and Kaleb Cowart. But, can you guess what order the fall in?
