My only comment on Dungy/Ryan

There’s been a lot of “controversy” about comments made by Tony Dungy about Rex Ryan.

Frankly, I think it’s painfully boring.  Ryan’s profanity was a national story BEFORE Dungy ever commented on it.  Then when he did, it was at the end of an interview with Dan Patrick.  Dan brought it up. Dan asked if the commissioner should talk to Ryan.  Dungy said yes.  He mostly praised Ryan saying that his style “works for him” but that he didn’t think it was necessary to talk that way and wouldn’t want to be around it himself.

Don’t read what anyone said Dungy said.  Just go listen to the interview.  The part about Ryan is near the end.  It’s actually quite uncontroversial, especially considering that the first person to question Ryan’s language was the man’s own mother. I’m not sure why the headlines don’t read “Dan Patrick suggests the commissioner speak to Ryan about his language!”  He was the one who brought it up in the first place.

This is the biggest non-story I’ve ever seen. Thank goodness Favre came back so we have real news to talk about!

Let’s move along.
