NASCAR.com Sets Record For Visits During A Nighttime Race

Got this press release from Turner Sports regarding the hits to NASCAR.com pertaining to last night’s Sprint Cup race at Daytona. With the site showing the race in 3-D and the site RaceBuddy feature showing additional angles to what was being shown on TNT, there were plenty of unique visitors.

NASCAR.COM, official site of NASCAR, set a new single-day record for total video views (live and on demand) with 986,000 (up 544% vs. last year) for its coverage of last night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing from Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR.COM also experienced over 20% growth in page views (+27% to 5.7 million) and daily uniques (+22% to 876K), with total streams on TNT RaceBuddy up 71%. The NASCAR webcast page delivered 365,000 page views (+168% vs. last year), 145K daily uniques (+131% vs. last year), and 186K visits (+130% vs. last year).

Certainly great numbers. I think 6 people visited Fang’s Bites during that same period. I don’t expect you to hit my site on a busy sports night and holiday weekend.
