The Sharks were on the cusp of reaching the Western Conference Final, leading 2-1 after the first period, but the Predators kept coming back. The Predators had nearly twice as many shots on goal as the Sharks, and were clearly dominant physically. In short, it looked like the Predators wanted this game more, and the Sharks were afraid to close them out. Even after everything seemed to favor the Predators, the contest still required overtime and a Viktor Arvidsson goal just a couple minutes into overtime.
The Eastern Conference is figuring things out quickly, but out west, things are going down to the wire.
