This would be a good signing for them, getting a face of the franchise for a generation. Most of us think 8/$165-170 is too much for the Sox or Yanks, and it probably is. Looks like Teix is heading home, has provided a happy home for wife and kids, has every dollar conceivably available, has made his agent a happy man, and will help build a winner rather than help win a ring. This isn’t a terrible thing for the Sox, Yankees, Angels, Orioles.
