The good folks at 2K Sports have seen the future – they've simulated this upcoming NBA season using NBA 2K14. Here are a few of the results, straight from the horse's mouth:
Not 1, Not 2, But 3!
Coming off back-to-back NBA championships, NBA 2K14 cover athlete LeBron James and the Miami Heat meshed better than ever before to finish with a league best 66-16 record en route to their third consecutive championship.
The Nets Starting 5
First year head coach Jason Kidd and the Brooklyn Nets proved that veterans can still dominate the NBA landscape. With the additions of former Celtics (and former NBA champions) Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to their already star-studded squad, Brooklyn went 62-20 claiming the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference.
Howard gets Harden
After a disappointing season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Dwight Howard signed with the Houston Rockets to join rising All-Star James Harden to lead the team to the 5th seed and proving they came ready to take on the playoffs with full force
Rise of the Rose
Team leader D-Rose of the Chicago Bulls returned from his injury back to his dominant state to average 26.4 ppg and help the Bulls finish 59-23 to clinch the 3rd seed in the East
Return of the Mamba
With Kobe Bryant sidelined following last year’s season-ending Achilles injury, the LA Lakers struggled early but received an emotional boost when Kobe made his first appearance on the court during their annual Christmas Day game, boosting them to .500 and making their way into the playoffs once again
• Regular Season MVP
LeBron James is named the 2013-2014 regular season NBA Most Valuable Player
