NBA announces 18 withdrawals from 2014 Draft

Close to 20 players who threw their names into this year’s draft as early entrant candidates have withdrawn from consideration.  The league announced today that 17 international prospects and one collegiate prospect are no longer taking part in the 2014 NBA Draft.  There are now 44 collegiate and 13 international prospects that remain as early entry candidates.

Players had until yesterday, June 16, before 5 pm ET to withdraw as early entry candidates.  Below is the complete list of players who’ve taken their names out of consideration.

  • Moussa Diagne – Fuenlabrada (Spain)
  • Tomas Dimša – Zalgiris (Lithuania)
  • Marcus Eriksson – Manresa (Spain)
  • Ilja Gromovs – Ventspils (Latvia)
  • Rasmus Larsen – Manresa (Spain)
  • Mateusz Ponitka – Oostende (Belgium)
  • Kristaps Porzingis – Cajasol (Spain)
  • Marko Ramljak – Zadar (Croatia)
  • Alejandro Suarez – Joventut (Spain)
  • Devon Van Oostrum – Vitoria (Spain)
  • Guillem Vives – Joventut (Spain)

The NBA Draft takes place on Thursday, June 26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
