The unpredictability of sports is one of the main reasons that they are so intriguing to fans.  So, in the vein, The Hoops Manifesto will be tracking the biggest surprise NBA player this season – the player who (positively) deviated most from his norm and had a crazy good season.  This is the NBA Eye Opener of the Year.

L.N. Jr continues to help make the Lakers the surprise team of the season.  He posted his second double-double game of the season last week (12 points, 11 boards, 3 steals), and has already equaled his Wins Produced total from last year in only 20 games this season.  Unfortunately a contused knee made him miss his first game of the year – hopefully he’ll be back opening eyes soon.
