The unpredictability of sports is one of the main reasons that they are so intriguing to fans.  So, in the vein, The Hoops Manifesto will be tracking the biggest surprise NBA player this season – the player who (positively) deviated most from his norm and had a crazy good season.  This is the NBA Eye Opener of the Year.

Giannis Antetokounmpo already was playing at an all-star level last season, his third in the NBA.  So it makes it even more amazing that he’s managed to be the biggest eye opener of this season thus far.  His Wins Produced/48 have taken the biggest jump of any player in the league, and he already was above average in that area last season.  The man truly does it all on the court, and does it with style.  Over two blocks AND two steals a game?!  What a freak!
