NBA Finals Game 2 Ratings Are Up

We have some press releases to post before doing links. Getting a late start on the blog today. Had to be at a jobsite, then went out of the office to run an errand. I hate being in the home office. Also hate not having a car. Anyway, here goes.

First, ESPN says the ratings for NBA Finals Game 2 were from last year.

NBA Finals Game 2 on ABC Overnight Rating up 10 Percent

Celtics-Lakers Wins the Night for ABC; Game Peaks at a 14.7 Rating

ABC’s exclusive coverage of The Finals Game 2 – Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers –  delivered a 10.9 overnight rating, a 10 percent increase from 2009 (Orlando vs. L.A. Lakers, 9.9 overnight).  Sunday night’s Game 2 broadcast was the highest-rated show of the night for all of television, helping ABC to win the night for all networks in primetime.

The game peaked with a 14.7 overnight rating (10:45 – 11:00 pm ET).  The broadcast was the highest-rated Game 2 overnight rating since 2004.

Game 1 of the Finals delivered an 8.6 rating, 14,088,076 viewers, was the highest-rated program of the night, and enabled ABC to be the #1 network for the night.
