Three questions to ponder

1. Will Dwight Howard don a Lakers jersey for the first time ?

Howard has missed the Lakers first five games while recovering from back surgery.  The superstar center is the final piece to what the Lakers hope will be a championship roster, filled with former All-Stars and first ballot Hall of Famers.  Rumors have been swirling that Howard will return for today’s game, to what extent we do not know.

2. Will Coach Smart begin to settle on a rotation?

We asked this same question before last game and the answer was a resounding no.  We are seeing some patterns develop.  Smart likes James Johnson and Thomas Robinson together on the court.  Aaron Brooks and Tyreke Evans have spent a lot of time together, be it as a starting unit or off the bench.  Bu again, we ask this question, at what point does he set the lineup and let his players develop some on-court chemistry?

3. Can DeMarcus Cousins make Dwight Howard wish he had taken a few more days off?

Cousins has been destroying the opposition so far this preseason.  Howard would be his toughest competition to date, if the former Orlando Magic center makes an appearance.  In their only meeting last season, Cousins scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.  More importantly, he got Howard in foul trouble, limiting him to just five points and four rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
