PITTSBURGH — Down 4.4 seconds and with a perfect season on the line, Tyler Ennis hit the biggest shot of the year for the undefeated and top-ranked Orange.
Trailing 56-55 with 4.4 seconds, Ennis would take the inbounds pass past mid court and hit a game-winning three-point shot to help silence Pitt’s always rowdy Oakland Zoo in front of a standing-room crowd.
Ennis, a 6’2 180-pound freshman guard from Brampton, Ontario, scored 13 points, grabbed two rebounds and five assists. Ennis would shot 3-of-7 from the field and 1-of-2 from three-point range.
