Damion James spent just 10 days with the Nets, and is now headed back to D-League Bakersfield |
So much for Damion James sticking around with the Nets, at least for now. After his initial 10-day contract with the Nets expired today, according to NetsDaily, James has been returned to the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League since the Nets haven't given the original draft pick of the Hawks a second 10-day deal. It probably doesn't mean that's the Nets have had of James, even though he only played 22 seconds with the team in his stiny, because they can always call him back up at another point this season. So long for now Damion, hopefully we see you again soon.
In another round of roster moves announced on Tuesday, the Nets have also demoted Tyshawn Taylor and Tornike "Toko" Shengalia back to Springfield with the Armor, the D-League affiliate of the Nets. Surely the move isn't a demotion as it is Brooklyn realizing that these guys were wasting away on the big club's bench and will get much more playing time and game experience with the Armor, who are only 6-15 thus far this season. I'm sure they'll be back within the next few weeks as injuries call for.
Just a note: the Nets aren't expected to add anyone to their roster because of Tuesday's roster shuffling. I'll let you know of anything else that happens.
