Every month, I join some of the finest NBA bloggers around for what we like to call The 8th Seed Podcast. This month, Rey from The No Look Pass played host to all of us. That’s about an hour and a half of great NBA debate, utter rants, and ball busting. Rey was kind enough to break out some teaser quotes from the show:
JARED: “I’m probably one of the few… only… Allen Iverson fans in this phone call…”
GLENN: “(Stephen Jackson)’s more of a cancer than anything.
Personally, I would love to have Allen Iverson more than Stephen
Jackson.”
JEFF: “Gone! Gone! That was my catch-phrase from that night. GONE!”
MIKE: “Obviously, you didn’t pay him enough, Jeff.”
JOHN: “We can start reading his drunk tweets from that night.”
JARED: “I was gonna try… but I think he was writing them in Cantonese.”
We got into a good debate about Brandon Jennings, his performance, his expectations, and whether his path to the NBA sets a good or bad precedent. I also went nuts on LeBron James for what he said about retiring the #23 in honor of Michael Jordan. Other topics: Are the Hawks for real, what’s going on in Allen Iverson’s head… and we tried to translate Jeff from ProjectSpurs.com’s drunk tweets (like this one… or this one… or this one…)
