According to Kings.com via twitter, DeMarcus Cousins has regained his starting spot for tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets. Cousins lost his starting job last week as a disciplinary move by Coach Paul Westphal for giving the choke sign late in the Kings’ loss to the Warriors. He had his best game of his young career in Wednesday night’s victory against the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 21 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
Again, according to Kings.com, Samuel Dalembert missed today’s shoot around due to illness. It is unknown if he will miss the game tonight. It is also unknown if he has lost his starting spot temporarily due to illness, or on a more permanent basis. Jason Thompson and Francisco Garcia will start alongside Cousins on the front line with Tyreke Evans and Beno Udrih comprising the back court.
**Update**
According to the Sacramento Bee’s Jason Jones via twitter:
Westphal said Cousins could stay in the starting lineup beyond tonight depending on how the team plays with this lineup.
