I gotta admit: I really hope that there’s an NBA season next year. Lawrence Frank has absolutely killed every press conference and interview he’s had since he was hired as the Pistons’ newest head coach, and it’s hard to not drink the Kool-Aid that he’s serving up by the bucket full.
Not only did Frank wow during his introductory press conference (above; full video here), but he also cleaned up nicely with his interview with Tigers commentators Rod Allen and Mario Impemba on Wednesday. There isn’t audio or video of the interview that I’ve seen so far (damn MLB…), but Frank said a lot of good things both about the Pistons and the city in general. If Joe Dumars can use his mulligan to clean up the roster a little bit, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Frank be the coach that brings them out of the rut they have been in for the past few seasons.
