The recruiting board continues to fluctuate and change with new offers going out, old offers being brought back to life and some verbal offers from the previous coaching staff not heading in the same direction with Paul Chryst’s coaching staff.
One position in a big state of flux is quarterback, where the new staff is picking it’s own offers to go out there. Wisconsin added one more recruit to the board at quarterback on Thursday, according to our exclusive recruiting partners at Badger247 the Badgers have offered Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro quarterback Kare’ Lyles.
Lyles isn’t so fly-by-night recruit for the Badgers though, as he is the son of a former Badger and the brother of 4-star offensive lineman Kayden Lyles. The family took up residence in Fitchburg, Wis. before moving west in 2012 per Evan Flood of Badger247.
The family will be in town on Sunday to take in the Badgers’ first spring practice, and it was likely an offer was coming from Wisconsin at that time. However, it appears UW made the choice to put the offer on the table before he even arrived.
Lyles’ offer from Wisconsin is his first offer, but schools like Arizona, Arizona State, Florida and UCLA are expressing interest in the 247Sports composite No. 55 Pro-Style quarterback.
At 6-1, 215 pounds Lyles has some decent size to him but isn’t overwhelming. It doesn’t matter much though as you can see via his film and the fact that he threw for over 3,200 yards and had 40 touchdowns in his junior season.
