With a new head coach in Brett Brown, the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to see who will make this team and ultimately become starters. That is the case for James Anderson who via Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times said becoming the starting shooting guard is his one of his goals.
#Sixers James Anderson said starting is one of his goals. Apparently was with first team again today. #76ers #NBA

It actually seems like his goal might become a reality. Anderson so far in the first two days of training camp worked out with the first team as the starting shooting guard. Is it something to get excited for as Sixers fans? No not really but this is exciting for Anderson who is looking to start as a NBA player.
With Arnett Moultrie out until the new year, the projected starting lineup could be Thaddeus Young at power forward, with Evan Turner starting at small forward which leads to Anderson starting at the shooting guard position. But we have to see how this pans out during the preseason games before the regular season opener against the Miami Heat on October 30th.
Anderson was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs but from that point on his career hasn’t flourished. So far for his NBA career, Anderson is averaging 3.7 points, 0.9 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game.
